Project overview
Designed and built abdullahaish.com as a product-style engineering portfolio, not a static CV. The system pairs a responsive Next.js frontend with a FastAPI backend, a PostgreSQL-backed content management system and a secure administration interface so project content can evolve without editing source code.
Frontend and experience
Built with Next.js 16, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS v4, Framer Motion and Lucide icons. The public site presents selected systems, experience and project case studies with responsive navigation and a consistent visual identity across desktop and mobile.
Backend and content model
Developed Python/FastAPI APIs with SQLAlchemy and Alembic, including models for projects, project sections, experience, education, skills and site profile. The admin CMS supports editing and importing portfolio content, while publication and featured settings control what appears publicly.
Administration and security
Implemented protected admin workflows, contact form verification using Cloudflare Turnstile, rate limiting and controlled access to content management. Security and privacy requirements also shape the optional AI assistant, including request budgets and data-routing settings.
